The Story Behind Blue…

A couple of original characters from the Kindle World duet Improper will be in my new series. Currently, it’s called the Carson Trilogy.  That might change as the writing process continues.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Max Carson, is a private investigator and technology forensics expert. He started the business after ending his partnership with Sawyer Saint-Gabriel. He recently acquired an industrial espionage case from a secret source on the deep web. The contract involved exposing criminal activities on the firm and turning it over to them. Max had carte blanche on using any means necessary to gather the evidence. He must go undercover, a role he’s familiar with, having worked as a CIA contractor for years before joining Saint Gabriel’s firm.
The strategy involved getting access to the CEO’s inner circle. He analyzed the task and determined infiltration as a client whose company was ripe for a takeover would be the best bet.
One evening, after a day of reviewing cases to hand over to his new employee, a point man named Jerry, Max took him out for drinks. They were both riveted by the pretty woman at the bar who was trying but failing at maintaining a lady-like demeanor while a barfly harassed her. When he pawed her curvy bottom, her self-control went down the toilet. She slapped him and called him names. She insulted his manhood… repeatedly. She made more of a scene than he did. She didn’t have to be that loud.  She could have told him not to touch her. She could have asked for help. She could have just walked away. Max wanted to spank her on the spot for the bad behavior. It was unbecoming. The barfly slinked to the back of the room, glaring at her with hatred for his walk of shame. Guys like that could be dangerous.
Despite the awkwardness of the incident she tried to attract Max’s attention and sent over a drink. The stunner was drawn to him. He stood at the end of the bar, tall, buffed, and aloof. But Max refused her drink and ignored her. He didn’t look into the deep blue eyes of promise and disappointment. If walking away was a mistake, he’d never know.

They are HERE, together!

Earlier this year, I offered Carrie’s story with Improper, Book 1. The book is free to KU members.  I’m happy to say, the second part fills in the blank.

She’s been looking for answers in all the wrong places.

Doing all the wrong things …

With all the wrong men …

A really good girl … gone bad.

Until someone found her at just the right time.

On January 25, I gave birth to Improper’s sequel, Fall

Carrie was on a journey of self-discovery and healing
When one day, a predator returned from her past,
Someone she didn’t remember
Someone who stole her childhood
And replaced her memories with nightmares.
Someone who took her as a pawn for revenge
He lured her like a lamb to slaughter
To pay for the sins of another.
Torture and pain was the currency,
He planned for retribution
Her only salvation was a heartbeat away.
